Understanding Our Process
This guide services as a rough outline of the Hang 10 Digital web design process and is intended to guide you along the journey to your new website. In it, we provide a step by step guide on how our process works and what you can expect from one part to the next.
While each project is different, this is the process we have developed to ensure successful projects and part of that is sharing it with you.
Each step of the process involves collaboration with you, the client, so please review it to understand how it all works.
Phase 1
Onboarding and Prep Work
The first phase of each project is the onboarding and prep work phase. In this part of the project we gather all the information we need to successfully build out your new website. This ensures our designers can work uninterrupted with a full understanding of the project scope and guidelines.
Before our designers can begin creating your new website, we need to gather all important information and more to ensure we have what we need.
- Completed discovery and onboarding
- Finalized sitemap / page list
- Approved website design mockup
- Shared written content, branding information, images and graphics as necessary.
- Shared domain access (GoDaddy, NameCheap etc)
Once these steps have been completed we will have completed phase one of the project and will move on to phase 2.
Phase 2
Website Development
Now that we have gathered all the information we need in phase 1, we can begin building your new website. In the first part of this phase, our designers will get to work while you sit tight for about 1-2 weeks. Once the website has passed our initial QA we will share it with you on a private URL.
You can review the website and offer and suggestions for edits such as switching out images, updating particular text and so on.
Once you have given the final approval for the website we will go to the next phase.
Phase 3
Launch, Hosting & Maintenance
Once we have completed the design in phase 2, we will launch the website. Our technical team will make all necessary updates to your DNS to ensure it is launched smoothly.
From there your new website will be live and you can start sharing it with your clients.
After that we will provide monthly hosting and maintenance on the website and are here to support and help as needed.
